Winter Park History Museum

Winter Park History Museum

Located next to the Winter Park Farmer’s Market, the Winter Park History Musuem is free and open to the public Tuesdays-Fridays from 10 – 4 and Saturdays from 9-2.

Our current exhibition, Wish You Were Here: The Hotels & Motels of Winter Park runs through June 6th, 2020. This exhibition showcases the hotels and motels of Winter Park throughout the city’s history. Highlights include the lavish luxury hotels of the late 1800s, roadside family motels, tourist courts and the boarding houses used by the workers who built Winter Park. All played a part to help create the town of today.

The mission of the Winter Park Historical Association is to collect, preserve, promote and research the history of Winter Park and its surrounding area, and to share that history with the public through educational programs and operation of a museum.

The non-profit Winter Park Historical Association strives to achieve this mission through free public programs, outreach programs for schools and exhibits at our history museum. The museum has been located in the historic Farmer’s Market building since 1995 and is free and open to the public.
